"A Dusting on the Grassy Areas ... "

Outside, the sun is brilliant, but the wind chill soon sends one scurrying back indoors. The actual air temperature stands at 7 degrees F., on its way down to a low of 6 degrees F, at noon, with a forecast afternoon high of 8 degrees  F.  Low tonight is predicted to be 3 degrees F. here in Nashville. As the weatherman predicted, we got only about half an inch of snow as this arctic storm front went by last night. I made these pictures to document it when the sun was barely up and had not yet reached my back yard.
