June, with Pokeweed and Dogwood

Nandina, almost smothered in morning glory, hangs out its delicate white racemes. In the hillside hedge, the pokeweed thrives. And across the way, the dogwood keeps on building its shiny green berries, which will turn to brilliant red in the fall, while the aging leaves, losing their summer chlorophyll, reveal their true colors of bronze, purple, and red.
