A Suburban Walk in Early March

Finally, trees in bloom. But not hung with snow -- instead, gowned in rosy pink petals, like the Oriental princesses they are.

These Kwanzan Japanese cherry trees are part of a ten-year project to plant a thousand cherry trees in Nashville, as a symbol of the city's ties to Japan.

  1. These are beautiful, as well as interesting. Especially the way the blooms flower so close to the tree trunk.

    Good for Nashville!
