Moon-Watching Sisters

Here's the nearly full moon on the morning of March 21, 2011, in Wharton, Texas, setting in the west just about sunrise. My sister made the photo and gave me permission to use it in my blog.

And here's that same moon, as it rose in Nashville, Tennessee, in a shot I took at about 9:30 p.m., March 20, 2011.

Moonrise at the 2011 Spring Equinox

It looks as tiny in these photos, to me, as the little wildflowers that spring is bringing out under the trees in my yard.

  1. Thank you for publishing the beautiful moon pictures. And those little wildflowers are as beautiful as garden flowers. The first one, being enlarged, looks like a chrysanthemum. The purple one, like a miniature violet. The third one, well it just looks like itself--lovely.

  2. Nice juxtaposition of the beautiful full moons and spring blooms.

  3. Celia, many thanks, both for looking and for commenting. I appreciate your attention and praise more than words can say.
