A February Walk

In a brisk breeze, alongside the Lipscomb University Campus, I made a few pictures. Snow was lingering in all the shady places, including the dooryard of the log cabin which had been the farm home of the school's founder.

Near it, I found sage untidily thriving in the herb garden, rosy buds on shrub twigs, and the old magnolia tree glittering against the blue sky.

On my way home, I was intrigued by the contrast between the signs advertising a weekend art sale at the university campus middle and high school and the signs of winter's imminent departure that I had just been documenting.
