To Cut or Not to Cut?

Bring flower corpses into the house? A friend, whose opinion I greatly respect, condemns doing this. Well, I'd never pick a bouquet of wildflowers, or even take a single wild blossom from its place outdoors.

However, I look on a bouquet from a friend's garden differently. She grows her cultivars in order to harvest them, as well as to enjoy when she's outside. And I very much welcomed this one from her yesterday afternoon. She brought it for me to take out to my 92-year-old sister in the nursing home, when I visit her today.
