Hand-me-down Patchwork Quilts

So pretty:

Patchwork Quilt, Handmedown No. 3, Closeup

My 92-year-old sister likes quilts. She has a number that she's acquired down the years, one of which was made for her by our grandmother. These heirloom quilts are the ones she keeps in a cedar chest. Several others she has stored in plastic bags on her closet shelf, and those are the ones I photographed for her this morning.

She wants them out of the plastic storage bags. And she wants the heirloom quilts taken out of the cedar chest. She has just found out that wood and plastic are a bad environment for her quilts. I'm going to look for some old pillow cases or sheets to wrap them in and help her take care of them. So far, they don't seem to have come to any harm and are still quite bright and colorful.
