What is this weed with tiny purple flowers? Ground Ivy!

It's near the iris clump in the median between my driveway and my sister's. And it's also mixed in with the grasses and clover of my back yard.

  1. With the aid of an on-line flower-identification tool, I have found out that common names for this plant are gill-on-the-ground, creeping Charlie, and ground ivy. Wikipedia gives its scientific name as Glechoma hederacea and says it is aromatic. Shall go pick a sprig and find out, later this afternoon
